strawberry shortcake sangria

Another drink that is like dessert in a glass...this time Strawberry Shortcake.

I adjusted the recipe from what I found on the internet. Based on the experience with sparkling moscato, I decided to opt for a drier (brut) prosecco.

We really enjoyed this drink and decided it would also be good for brunch. Plus it was a good excuse to use more of the Whip Vodka.

Recipe
Ingredients

• 1 bottle brut prosecco
• 3/4 c. whipped cream flavored vodka
• 1/2 c. strawberry simple syrup (Simple syrup 1/2 c. water + 1/4 c. sugar + 1/2 c. sliced strawberries, heated until boiling and cooled)
• 1 c. fresh strawberries sliced
• 1/4 c. sparkling water
  

Instructions

1. Combine wine, vodka, cooled simple syrup, and fresh strawberries in a large pitcher.
2. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
3. For a less sweet sangria, add more sparkling water as desired.
